But the opening of the second quarter proved that Maccabi Ashdod is fighting for their "home" and within 5 minutes they reached 28-25. Since then the game became a close swing almost to its end.
Chante Black (7 pts. and 10 rebounds in 20 minutes) played a weak game causing difficulties for Electra Ramat Hasharon under the basket. Zellous, who usually performs well, was far from her best capabilities scoring 14 points, mostly from the foul line. Nevertheless Ramat Hasharon did not give in and the third quarter ended by tie 57.
The first 5 minutes of the last quarter was still tight until at 64-63 to Ashdod, the home team managed to take advantage of each mistake of Ramat Hasharon, strengthened their defense and reached 16-9 at the last 5 minutes, leading the final result to 80-72.
On Thursday Ramat Hasharon will hold the 3rd game of the series. If they lose it is the end of the season. If they win, the semi-final series comes back to life.
